Rotarian Cisco Marlparta-Smith, from the Tukwila Rotary Club, to attend the fundraising luncheon at the Meydenbauer Center, in downtown Bellevue. Cisco currently sits on the board for Bellevue College and was a table captain and host for the day. I just recieved my Thank You card from
Bellevue College saying they raised over $315,000.00 Thousand dollars. Cudos to Peter, he was very approachable, and quite charming. Thanks for the Photo.
But having Peter Buffet, son of the
famous money mogul, Warren Buffet, was no small order. Peter, is a world class musician, raised with pride and priveledge. He has a soft spot in his heart for education and a soul for music that stirs other SOULS! His music score for the FIRE DANCE scene, in Dances with Wolves, is one of his favorite pieces. We were treated to a wonderful concert and delightful afternoon. I'm certainly glad I stuck around for a picture, and a chat after his preformance. Thank You Peter, for sharing your talents and musical soul for us...it was AWESOME!

One of the great Rotary traditions is the annual gathering of 20,000 - 25,000 people for a Rotary International Convention every year. This year we met this young ROTARACT, student in the beautiful southern city of New Orleans, Louisiana, or better known as NOLA. Gordon & I went to see new people, new places and to be reminded of our "Service Above Self" motto from Rotary. The year end Celebration parties are grand too, and there were many of those. My VP position with the ITHF = International Travel & Hosting Fellowship, was made stronger by the new friendships I made, while working at the booth.
