Rugby in Africa, a sports program for kids

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IzOu3ye-JLA&feature=feedu

This is a COOL new program. I just heard about with school age kids. It's getting children to learn sports, and schooling and teach leadership skills....too.  You can go to http://www.rugbyinafrica.org/  too.  I'm thrilled I learned about this and hope the Redmond Rousers Rotary club and our 501c3 foundation can be of some help in the future lives of these kids. Look for our new member, Wordsworth, while the video goes to Malawi. You can get a breif view of him with the kids running around an old school.

Bicycling in REDMOND and the PNW

What inspires people to bicycle?? I think it is the beauty of the place they ride, nature, Blue sky? Maybe the wind on their faces after a long day at the office? Who knows....but I do know this area is known for being the bicycle capital of the PNW....maybe even the world! The Redmond Rousers are on a NEW and fabulous quest to find people to participate in their first ever bicycle race around the cascades. It is a fundraiser to benefit our 501c3 Foundation. We are able to fund many local and global project from this every year.

We call this new race/ride "Coup de Cascades", you call it FUN! Yes, a 414 mile RACE, over a couple mountain passes, starting and ending in Redmond. Current President, Kelly Kyle says, MORE information to follow....Soon!!! Watch for us at:   http://www.coupdecascades.org/   as we build our sites and RACE for the summer of 2011. This will be an annual event, to fund lots of worthy programs. Come join us as a volunteer or a solo racer, or a relay racer. See you on the road!

Rotaractors help with volunteer service at the Redmond Rousers Rotary

Thanks to the ROTARACT group who helped us at our Casino night at Fairwinds...last Sept 2010. The party was rockin and rollin....and all had a wonderful time. Our hope is that we get more participation and more people come out to our next casino night....in Redmond. Proceeds benefit the Redmond Rousers Rotary Foundation. We make many contributions every year to do great things in our community and the world.

MEMBERSHIP and the Rotary Way

Membership definately has it's advantages with ROTARY. By clicking HERE you can go directly to the membership module on the RI site and gain powerful information on how to become the best Rotarian possible. Developing YOUR personal membership in our Redmond Rousers Club is like a 3 legged stool, consisting of local projects, membership development and international service.

Each is important to how this club moves forward to be effective and how you become a better leader in your own community and in your business. Opportunites await all people, from all backgrounds, religions and all races, who want to learn about how Rotary can take you places. The 4 way test is a simple way to test if you are ethically, on the right track....see how well you do.
